CHAMBERS USA RANKS SIX ELARBEE THOMPSON ATTORNEYS AS AMONG BEST IN CLASS

 
ATLANTA, August 28, 2009 – Elarbee Thompson L.L.P., an Atlanta-based law firm dedicated exclusively to the representation of management in labor law, employment law and complex litigation is pleased to announce that six of its attorneys have been recognized as “Best In Class” in the 2009 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business Guide. The prestigious rankings are driven by independent interviews of clients and members of the legal community at outside law firms. The Elarbee Thompson lawyers on this year's list are: Robert W. Capobianco, Alisa Pittman Cleek, J. Lewis Sapp, David C. Whitlock, Brent L. Wilson and Stanford G. Wilson.
 
-Capobianco concentrates on employment-related litigation, including trade secret, restrictive covenant, and collective & class action litigation. Rob has also successfully defended companies in employment discrimination and harassment litigation throughout the country. Rob also represents management in collective bargaining and provides counseling and assistance regarding plant issues.  Rob is a Georgia Super Lawyers Association Rising Star in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
 
-Cleek focuses on defending employers in employment-related litigation and representing employers in traditional labor matters, including unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, arbitrations and collective bargaining. She also focuses on proactively counseling employers regarding day-to-day employment decisions in order to avoid litigation. She works with a variety of employers nationwide, including major restaurant chains, sales organizations, and retail operations. In 2006, Alisa was named one of Georgia’s Top 50 Lawyers by Georgia Super Lawyers.
 
-Sapp focuses on defending employers in employment-related litigation and represents employers in traditional labor matters including unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, arbitrations and collective bargaining. He also counsels employers on day-to-day employment matters in order to help them avoid disputes that can lead to litigation. He works with a variety of employers including financial institutions, electrical utilities, and cities and counties. Sapp has also been named a Georgia Super Lawyer.
 
-Whitlock has over 22 years experience in business immigration, compliance, employment counseling, and training. In addition, Dave has extensive experience handling employment-related visa work, including both temporary and permanent visa cases, as well as advice regarding compliance with the I-9, discrimination, and document abuse provisions of the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and litigation arising under that statute. He is a frequent lecturer and presenter on immigration and compliance topics and best practices in employment-related topics. In 2004, David was named an Immigration Georgia Super Lawyer.
 
B. Wilson devotes a significant portion of his practice to defending employers in employment-related litigation and representing employers in traditional labor matters including unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, arbitration and collective bargaining. He is also focused on proactively counseling employers regarding day-to-day employment decisions to avoid litigation. He works with a variety of employers nationwide, including communications companies, service providers, educational institutions, non-profit groups, public entities and manufacturing operations. Brent is also a frequent speaker on litigation, employment and labor relations topics for the Institute on Continuing Legal Education and the Council on Education in Management and has served as an Adjunct Professor of Labor Relations at the Emory University School of Law. Brent has also been named a Georgia Super Lawyer.
 
S. Wilson focuses on defending employers in employment-related litigation and representing employers in traditional labor matters including unfair labor practice proceedings, representation cases, arbitrations and collective bargaining. He also focuses on proactively counseling employers regarding day-to-day employment decisions in order to avoid litigation. He works with a variety of employers nationwide, including chemicals and mining operations, major restaurant chains and manufacturing and retail operations. Stanford has also been named a Georgia Super Lawyer.
