Tracy focuses her practice on defending employers in connection with employment law, which includes EEOC charges, unemployment claims, and grievances filed by employees; wage & hour litigation; employment litigation; training; assisting clients in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; and counseling employers on employee investigations, discipline, termination, and complaints of discrimination or other unlawful treatment. Tracy also has significant experience with public employment law.
Prior to joining Elarbee, Thompson, Sapp & Wilson, Tracy practiced public labor and employment law as an associate at Liebert Cassidy Whitmore in Los Angeles, California. Tracy was also previously employed by the Fairfax County (Virginia) Police Department as a Patrol Officer and Detective.
Areas of Practice
Employment Litigation
Tracy defends individual and class action lawsuits brought pursuant to federal and state anti-discrimination statutes such as Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, federal and state constitutional claims, and related state tort matters.
Wage & Hour Law
Tracy defends both public and private employers against claims of misclassification, as well as claims for failure to pay minimum wage and overtime.
Public Employment
Tracy defends state and local government employers in connection with lawsuits, EEOC charges, unemployment claims, grievances, and appeals filed by employees, and advises employers on all phases of employment law, including training.
