Posner has been elevated to partner in the firm’s Immigration practice group, effective January 1, 2008. Posner’s immigration legal practice encompasses naturalization and immigration, non-immigrant work visas, immigrant work visas, permanent residency, employer sanctions, naturalization and consular processing. POSNER Posner practices exclusively in the area of immigration and naturalization law. He regularly works with technology companies who are pursuing both long-term and short-term immigration opportunities in the United States. Posner successfully petitions the immigration service on behalf of multi-national companies and individuals who are trying to obtain non-immigrant work visas, for permission to work in the United States. He regularly files H1B’s, L1A’s and L1B’s, O-1’s, and TN’s. Sanford is proficient in developing an overall immigration plan for clients who are first seeking employment permission and then obtaining permanent residency in the United States. Posner assists employers and employees through the new greencard process known as PERM. Elarbee Thompson is fortunate to be located within the same office complex as one of the two DOL processing centers. Posner handles immigrant petitions and consular processing, assisting clients in obtaining their Permanent Residency through Adjustment of Status petitions based on approved PERM Applications, Labor Certifications or through filing an I-140 petition in an EB1 or EB2 category including Extraordinary Ability and Multi-National Executive. In addition, he prepares clients for consular processing. Posner is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, and the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
